*Navigational Hint: The thumbnail image on the top left next to your product name will navigate you back to your Products List page.
To go back to the Dashboard simply click the Backbone Logo or your company’s name in the top left.
Upload an accompanying image with each Colorway. This will be displayed as a thumbnail next to the color in the Colorway section. The image will also show up next to each colorway in your tech pack (when Colorways box is checked).
If a Colorway is not in use, you can de-activate it by unchecking the Active checkbox, via the wrench icon.
There are two areas to add images to your components. You can add an image of the actual component as well as images for each colorway the component comes in.
Once an image is uploaded it has some built in functionality to assist you in the product development process. Images uploaded to Images, Construction Details, and Fit Photos have the same functionality listed below.
From the Image section, you have some functionality around which image you want to appear on your Tech Pack, as well as how and where it shows up.
From within the Component Images section, your first image will act as a thumbnail reference on your Bill of Materials and will print on the Tech Pack for your vendors to easily reference.
*You can also elect for a larger thumbnail view when generating a new TP.
Construction details can be copied to other products by simply clicking the Duplicate Icon to the right of the image.
The image and all of the construction details, markers, annotations, text, etc. will transfer over to any existing product’s Construction Details section.
How to Measure Images can be uploaded in the Size Spec section. In the 2nd column there are two options. You can either import an image that has previously been uploaded to this product or upload a new image from your computer.
Once the image is uploaded you can click into it to add How to Measure comments, arrows, etc. These will be displayed on each tech pack in a section called Measurement Instructions.
You can add 1 image for each individual point of measurement or annotate 1 image to include all of your How to Measure notes.
When you add a new comment or revision you can include an image with it to show further details, make call outs, annotate, etc.
You can upload a new image by dropping it into the Upload New File area or you can click into the pencil icon to edit the comment and pull in an image that has previously been uploaded into the product.
Once you are ready to submit your comments to your vendor, simply click the blue pad icon to email the Comment or Revision Tech Pack right through Backbone.
Add details to your fit photos to keep track of changes and revisions.
The first image you upload under Images will also act as theThumbnail in Reports.
To change this image, simply re-order the image you wish to act as the thumbnail to be first.
When uploading an .ai, .psd, or .pdf file, Backbone will prompt you to Save and Convert this file to a JPEG.
This will allow you to store the original artwork file under your Files Tab within that product but it will create a JPEG in the image section.
You can then add in any annotations, markers, etc. to this JPEG image and easily send this file off to your vendors right from Backbone.
If you need to send the original file or make edits to it you will always have it stored in your Files Tab.
Each product comes equipped with its own file repository (Files Tab) to store all of your files such as .ai, .psd, .jpg, .pdf and more. Store CAD files, sketches, pictures, design inspiration, pattern references, and more on Backbone.
